February 16: Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, shared a message of support during the Invictus Games closing ceremony as Prince Harry gave a speech.
"So proud of you!" the duchess said via her Instagram stories as the ceremony began on Sunday February 16, 2025.
Meghan was watching on from home in Montecito, having left Canada on Tuesday to return to Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Prince Harry spoke on stage at the closing ceremony of the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver.
The duke told the crowd of 20,000 at the Rogers Stadium "the Games will go on" as he looked ahead to the 2027 event in Birmingham.
The Invictus Games will return to the UK for the first since since 2014.
But it raises questions over whether Meghan and their two children will make the journey with Harry due to ongoing security concerns.
It also remains to be seen whether other working royals will be present for the Birmingham Games, as they were in 2014, when the then Prince Charles, the Duchess of Cornwall and Prince William all joined Harry for the opening ceremony.
Prince Harry met up with another famous face at the Invictus Games: Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

The volleyball finals event was described on the Sussex.com website as a "fierce, competitive display that highlighted the competitors' physical and mental fortitude."

Harry was sat next to Olga Rudnieva (far right), CEO of the Superhumans rehabilitation centre in Ukraine, and the Superhumans fundraising manager Ksenia Ilenkiv (centre).
Speaking to Hello! Magazine, Rudnieva revealed she gave the prince a silver bracelet engraved with a special phrase.
"We had a very good conversation with him because we need to learn a lot from other countries, and we gave him a tee-shirt and a bracelet that says, 'Whoever saves one life saves the world,'" she told the outlet.
Rudnieva also posted a clip of her handing over the bracelet to Harry on her Instagram Story.
"We are from Ukraine, and he has been supporting the Ukrainian team here, and all Ukrainians have seen that and people are very, very overwhelmed," she explained the sentiment behind the gift.
"We wanted him to know that it's important for Ukraine to know that he's supporting us."
