One key difference for Ivanka Trump during this inauguration
Ivanka Trump has stood beside her father once again as he was sworn in as president of the United States, but this inauguration held one key difference for the first daughter.
This time, Ivanka, 43, isn't part of her father's White House administration team, nor is her husband Jared Kushner.
During Donald Trump's first term in office from 2017 until 2021, Ivanka was a senior advisor and also the director of the Office of Economic Initiatives and Entrepreneurship.

Kushner, 44, served as a senior advisor and Director of the Office of American Innovation.
Speaking with Lauryn Bosstick and Michael Bosstick on a recent episode of the Skinny Confidential podcast Him & Her Show, Ivanka revealed she made the decision for the sake of her children.
"I know the cost," she admitted, "and it's a price that I'm not willing to make my kids bear."
She and Kushner share three children – Arabella, 13, and sons Joseph, 10, and Theodore Kushner, eight.

Ivanka admitted she had missed out on countless precious moments with her children due to her job.
"It's hard. I mean, I did the best I could… Every time I had to miss something," she explained.
"I'm like, 'I will never let this happen again the minute I leave the White House'."
"There is a darkness to that world that I don't really want to welcome into mine," she said. "It's a very dark, negative business."

"I love policy and impact. I hate politics. And unfortunately, the two are not separable," Ivanka added.
Of her father's second term, Ivanka said, "It's the world's loneliest position."
"The enormity of the decisions you're making on a daily basis, transactional everyone is with you… it's a very lonely perch," she added.
Ivanka and Kushner recently completed a renovation on their lavish Indian Creek Island property in Miami.
The secure enclave is also home to wealthy residents including Jeff Bezos and Tom Brady.
Despite not being an official part of her father's administrative team, Ivanka has appeared at key events, including his inauguration on January 20 and the pre-inauguration ball the night before.
