Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin’s sold-out Australian tour cancelled weeks before show
Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin’s sold-out Australian tour has been cancelled just weeks before the event was scheduled to kick off.
The former child star, 46, was due to arrive in Australia this November for a special Q&A screening for the Home Alone: A Nostalgic Night with Macaulay Culkin tour.

Culkin’s team confirmed the news to nine.com.au.
“Due to a scheduling conflict, A Nostalgic Night with Macaulay Culkin following a screening of Home Alone has been cancelled,” an official statement read.
“Refunds will be automatically issued at the point of purchase. We apologise for any inconvenience.”
The cancellation comes after an additional Sydney show was added due to high demand after sold-out shows in Sydney and Brisbane.
The tour was set to kick off on November 24 at Brisbane’s Fortitude Musical Hall, with shows in Melbourne’s Regent Theatre and Sydney’s Enmore Theatre until November 30.
Ticketek, the event organisers behind the Sydney shows, have advised ticket holders to check their emails for details.
The company confirmed “all tickets purchased (including refundable ticket purchases, VIP upgrades, parking and bar vouchers, if relevant) will be automatically refunded in full to the original payment method used”.

Customers were advised no action on their end was needed.
Culkin was slated to attend all four events and participate in a moderated live interview with fans in the audience following the screening.
Mega-fans could opt for the VIP Meet and Greet Package, which would have given fans the opportunity to meet Culkin and take a photo with him.

Following his Hollywood debut, he became one of the most successful child actors of all time.
He appeared in Michael Jackson’s ‘Black or White’ music video and starred in the successful movies My Girl, The Good Son, Richie Rich, Getting Even with Dad and, of course, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.

In 1998, Culkin appeared to suffer burnout and took a break from acting. Twenty years later, he later discussed his decision on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
“I was tired of it, to be honest. I did like 14 movies in six years or something like that,” Culkin said in the 2018 interview.
"I was away from home a lot. I was away from school. I needed something else … It was the smartest thing I could have possibly done was to take eight years off."
The star has slowly gotten back into acting, with his most recent role as Cattrick Lynxley in Zootopia 2.
He also stars in the hit Amazon Prime Series Fallout as Lacerta Legate.
