December 30: Social media star Dora Moono Nyambe, known for her humanitarian work, has died suddenly at the age of 32.
The heartbreaking news was shared to Nyambe's social media accounts over the weekend.
"It is with a heavy hearth that we announce the sudden departure of our beloved Dora," her death was announced in a statement, which also shared the details of her burial service.
Charles Shyer
December 30: Director and writer Charles Shyer, known for Father of the Bride, has died. He was 83.
His daughter Hallie Meyers-Shyer confirmed the news to the The Hollywood Reporter.
She told the outlet he died after a "brief illness".
OG Maco
December 29: US rapper OG Maco has died aged 32, his family has confirmed in a statement.
The rapper was found unresponsive in his Los Angeles home on December 12, after which he was rushed to hospital, though the cause remained undisclosed, as per his manager and according to Rolling Stone.
Dayle Haddon
December 29: Actress and former supermodel Dayle Haddon has died aged 76 from suspected carbon monoxide poisoning.
The star was discovered at her son-in-law actor Marc Blucas' Pennsylvania home at around 6.30am local time on Friday after local authorities received a 911 call, according to a representative of the department, as per People.
Geoffrey Deuel
December 28: Geoffrey Deuel, best known for his roles in The Young and the Restless and Chisum, has died aged 81.
The news was announced via an obituary posted by EverLoved.com, as well as his wife, Jacqueline Deuel, who told The Hollywood Reporter that her husband died in hospice care in Florida following a battle with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Olivia Hussey
December 28: Olivia Hussey, star of the 1968 film Romeo and Juliet, has died aged 73.
Her death was announced in an Instagram post from her official account.
It read: "It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Olivia Hussey Eisley, who went peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones on December 27th.
Mark Spain
December 27: Award-winning American news anchor Mark Spain has died. He was 64.
The Virginia television journalist was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer three weeks before his death, which was confirmed by his wife Lynita Spain in a statement shared to his official Facebook page.
"Our family along with the city of Lynchburg lost a man of hope, someone who loves his city and stood for equality, treating others with respect and kindness," Lynita's message, which confirmed he died on December 18, began.
Dulce La Cantante
December 27: Dulce La Cantante has died. She was 69.
The Mexican singer's family confirmed her death with a statement shared to her official Facebook page on Christmas Day.
"It is with deep sorrow that we confirm the passing of our beloved singer, Dulce.🕊️," the statement, translated from Spanish, began.
Hudson Meek
December 26: Hudson Joseph Meek has died after reportedly falling from a moving vehicle in Alabama, USA, last week.
He was 16.
Multiple media outlets report the young actor, who was best known for his roles in the 2017 film Baby Driver and the MacGyver reboot, died after sustaining injuries from the fall.
According to the Jefferson Country Coroner's Office, Meek sustained blunt force trauma when he fell from a moving vehicle in the 1900 block of Canyon Road in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, on Thursday December 19.
