Sofia Vergara spotted holding hands with newly single singer 15 years her junior

Sofia Vergara has been spotted enjoying an intimate dinner with recently single Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds, sparking rumours the two are dating.

The Modern Family actress, 54, was caught on camera holding hands with Reynolds, 39, at what looked like a romantic date in Beverly Hills, California over the weekend.

TMZ published the photos, which show Vergara beaming at the handsome singer while he holds her hand across the table at luxe restaurant Cipriani while two friends sit nearby.

Vergara and Reynolds reportedly snuck out of the restaurant via a back door after midnight, possibly to avoid more photographers.

Though neither of the stars’ representatives have commented on the photos yet, both celebs are single right now.

Reynolds recently split from Friday Night Lights star Minka Kelly after more than four years together, according to multiple reports.

Since the news broke, the singer has been seen out and about with model Chantel Jeffries and now Vergara.

Kelly has not commented on her ex’s new flame but shared a cryptic Instagram post about soulmates shortly after the news of their split made headlines.

“Soulmates, or partners of destiny, can be people that come into your life and change your life,” she wrote.

“And ideally, it’s not about holding on to it, but understanding what they brought into your life – what did you learn and how did you change?”

“It’s about seeing these people and these situations as a gift, as steps in your own personal development,” she concluded.

Meanwhile, Vergara finalised her divorce from fellow actor Joe Manganiello in February 2024, nearly a year after they announced their separation.

The couple had been married for nearly eight years and Manganiello has recently opened up about the role Vergara played in helping him survive a seven-year battle with a mystery illness that required multiple surgeries.

Though he credited the actress for supporting him through years of tests, mystery symptoms, and emotional upheaval, Manganiello said it left their marriage “devoid of any emotionality whatsoever”.

He claimed Vergara refused to hug him even when he begged while severely sick and ridiculed him for adopting a 2.2kg chihuahua while struggling with his mental health.

“I had to give my gun away because I kept thinking about it, and then the dog came. I went from being the patient to the caretaker,” the Magic Mike actor revealed in his memoir Bloodlines.

Vergara later told Spanish newspaper El Pais the relationship “broke up because my husband was younger; he wanted to have kids, and I didn’t want to be an old mum.”

Manganiello denied the claim and has continued to share details about his health battle, but Vergara has chosen not to comment on his allegations.

She’s been living her best life lately, posting snaps from dinners out with friends and behind the scenes photos from the glamorous Hollywood events she frequents.

Earlier this month she attended the Academy Museum Gala solo, choosing to spend the night with fellow actresses like Eva Longoria instead of a man.
