Aussie model Jessica Hart confirms split from fiancee James Kirkham after months of speculation

Australian model Jessica Hart has confirmed what many fans have suspected for months now: she and American race car driver James Kirkham are officially over.

The 40-year-old admitted she and Kirkham parted ways in a new interview, where she discussed the possibility of moving back to Australia with their daughter Baby-Rae, five, and son Glorious, four.

“Bringing the kids to Australia is always in the back of my mind,” she told the Daily Telegraph over the weekend.

“I think eventually I’ll end up back in Australia but, for the moment, the kids are in school here and, since I’m not with their father, I understand at their age taking them to Australia is a bit too far for them to maintain a relationship with him.”

Her “dream” is to split time between the US and Australia, moving the kids to her home country for six months of the year and spending the other six months in the US, where they’ve spent most of their childhood.

“I really want them to have Australian influence… Australia will always be my home,” she added.

Rumours that Hart and Kirkham had split started swirling early last year, when the former Victoria’s Secret and Sports Illustrated model was spotted without her engagement ring.

Days later, she and Kirkham were spotted arguing in their luxury car in Los Angeles.

Photos showed Kirkham gesturing wildly while Hart pulled the $368,000 car over to let him out. She then drove off without him, according to reports.

They haven’t made any official public appearances since, and both appear to have unfollowed each other on social media.

Hart also hinted at plans to return to Australia in June 2025, furthering speculation that she and Kirkham had called it quits.

Hart told Harper’s Bazaar Australia she had plans to renovate a property in Ballarat to be closer to her family, saying, “I’m going back to my roots, my heritage”.

“I want my children to be half-Australian and half-American — not just Americans with Australian passports. I want them to be immersed in Australian culture and grow up the way we did,” she said.

Hart was previously linked to Stavros Niarchos III, a Greek shipping heir and professional kiteboarder, and there was talk that the two would wed before they suddenly parted ways in 2019.

By 2019, she and Kirkham were officially an item and the pair announced they were expecting their first child in 2020.

He popped the question with a mammoth engagement ring at her baby shower, and before long baby number two was on the way.

NASCAR driver Kirkham also has a daughter from a previous relationship.

Born and raised in Australia, Hart was just 15 when she was discovered by a modelling scout while shopping at a Melbourne mall and rose to fame after winning the Dolly modelling competition in 2000.
