Sarah Abo has reunited with her Today co-stars as she introduced baby Sonny in-person this time after announcing his arrival on July 24.

The morning show host, 39, was hoping to say “goodbye” to her team in person before departing for early maternity leave. Abo finally got that chance, sharing the sweet update on Instagram.

“Cuddles for breakfast 🥰🥰🥰,” the new mum captioned a smiling winter snap with Today stars Danika Mason, Jayne Azzopardi and Tim Davies.

“And a special thanks to Timmy’s gorgeous mumma Kate, who baked a delicious slice and cookies for us 🥹🙏🏼,” she wrote.

The team looked rugged up and excited to meet her baby boy Sonny for the first time, who was bundled in an adorable beige onesie and beanie.

Davis and Azzopardi took turns cradling Sonny, while Mason held his tiny hand.

It appears her co-stars flew down to Melbourne to reunite with the busy mum over the weekend, as other Today stars sent their well-wishes.

“Yeah squad! ❤️👏,” commented Sylvia Jeffreys with a love heart and clapping emoji.

Over the weekend, she was also enjoying prosciutto and soft cheese “on repeat”, the one thing she revealed definitely missed eating during pregnancy.

This is Abo’s first child with her husband of more than a decade, Cyrus Moran.

The host welcomed her baby boy in July 2026 after departing the show early to go on maternity leave.

She was originally meant to go on maternity leave in August 2026; however announced that she had departed the show early due to health complications related to her pregnancy.

Abo revealed she had been in and out of the hospital for some time and had been ordered to stay on bed rest for the remainder of her pregnancy “in the safe hands of magnificent doctors, nurses and midwives”.

During her appearance with Sonny on Today, Abo apologised to her colleagues that she wasn’t able to be in the studio for a proper send-off.

“Know that I tried everything. I tried to break free out of hospital to get there on the couch just to say goodbye to you one last time. But I couldn’t, and I’m so sorry about it, doctor’s orders,” she smiled at the time.

“But I’ll be seeing you all soon, you’ll be able to meet the man and I can’t wait.”
