Danika Mason is pregnant with her first child.
The Today sport presenter said she and her partner, Liam Knight, were thrilled when they found out and cannot wait to welcome the new addition to their family at the end of the year.

“We feel so honoured to be brought into your households every single morning, so when there’s news here, it’s nice to share it with you guys first before the rest of the world gets to hear about it,” Danika said.
“So Liam and I are expecting a little girl, due December - so off-season will be a little bit busier this year.”
Danika joins friend and fellow Today host, Sarah Abo, who is also expecting her first child with husband, Cyrus, due in August.
The 35-year-old shared she had a bit of morning sickness to begin with, but thankfully that stage of her pregnancy has passed.
“Everyone here at Nine has been so supportive, when I’ve been vomiting on the way to work and everything, you know, everyone’s been so good,” she said.
“It’s so funny, the moment that I knew I was pregnant, I had a chicken schnitzel craving - I just honestly, all I could think about was chicken schnitzel.”
Danika and Liam, a professional rugby league and former NRL player, went public with their relationship in 2024, getting engaged during a romantic getaway in Italy.
They navigated a long-distance relationship at first, with Liam based in the UK while he played for Hull FC.
Knight was released from his contract at the beginning of 2026 and returned to Australia to be closer to his fiancée, currently representing the Cessnock Goannas.
“Liam’s over the moon, he’s so excited and he’s ready to be a girl dad,” Danika smiled.
Well wishes have been flooding in for Danika and Liam since announcing the news this morning, with Danika even sharing an adorable post on her Instagram with an ultrasound photo, three pregnancy tests and her pup, Charlie, in a cute bib that reads “promoted to big brother”.
“Congratulations beautiful!!! What a lucky little bubba!!!” Nine Sydney reporter Kate Creedon commented underneath the social media post.
“Congratulations! You’ll be an amazing mama - I’m going to have to celebrate with two margaritas, one for you and one for me,” Leila McKinnon added.
“I vote Knighty change the first nappy - love you guys,” friend and Rabbitohs star Jai Arrow said.
