Room Reveal: Lisa and Rosco’s Rumpus and Laundry
Lisa and Rosco pulled out all the stops to try and score their first ten.

The judges said the room felt “much bigger” than the previous rumpus room they had just come from thanks to the layout. “I can’t believe that these rooms are the same [size], but they are,” Marty said.

They loved the coffee table and the continuation of the dark wood and cabinetry.

They loved the benchtop detail, but added bronze mirror should have been placed behind, rather than a backsplash. “It makes it feel a bit kichten-y,” Marty said. “A [bronze mirror] would go so well.

They loved the amenities in the room, including the coffee station and sink.

Shaynna added the layout and design choices made the room feel relaxed and laid back.

“That’s the difference between House 1 and house 3, this one feels like a rumpus. You feel casual, it’s still high end, but it doesn’t have that formality [about it].

“I love the dark cabnintry with the dark washing and dryer,” Shaynna said.

Their favourite part of this week’s room was the fully built in robot vacuum unit. “This is a robo vac, built in and plumbed in,” Darren said. “It opens up its little garage, it cleans itself.”
