Room Reveal: Courtney and Sev’s Rumpus and Laundry
One of the judges declared this the best room they’ve ever seen on The Block.
Courtney and Sev described this week on the block as “crazy, scary, outrageous, aggressive and lovely,” and heading into Room Reveals, they were feeling pretty confident. House 4 and 5 feature larger rumpus rooms, and the girls saw this as a hopeful advantage.

Courtney said she thinks the room screams the kind of quiet luxury that the judges are after, and it seems the judges couldn’t have agreed more. As soon as they walked into the room, they were left near speechless.

“This has impact,” Shaynna said when she walked through the door. All three judges couldn’t hide their excitement, quickly noticing the acoustic design of the room.

“This is the first time on The Block that we’ve seen someone do this and we’ve said it so many times,” Shaynna exclaimed when she noticed the TV hidden behind the sliding cabinet doors.

Commenting on the acoustic panels in the ceiling, all three judges agreed that it gave the room an “amazing” feel, with Marty even describing it as being inside a coccoon.

“It has all of the touchpoints of effort, and detail and finess,” Darren said.

The judges struggled to find their words as they debated if this was the best room they’d seen yet.

Shaynna also pointed out that the wrap-around curtains and the curved corners of the wall elevated the room to the next level of luxury.

The kitchenette was stocked with all the necessities from a mini fridge, to wine glasses and a gorgeous bronze mirror backdrop. But it was the elements that went above and beyond that blew the judges away.

“Look at this, it’s just a little glass dish washer so you’re not taking everything upstairs,” Shaynna explained as Marty complimented Courtney and Sev for their foresight.
