Room reveal: Adam and Jolene’s Backyard and Garage
This week the Blockheads tackle their backyards and garages. While Houses 1 and 2 have smaller yards the other houses, they are still in with a fighting chance to snag the win.
This week, Adam and Jolene tackled three spaces, their Backyard, Garage and Courtyard. After weeks of saving, they finally splashed their cash on this week’s rooms.

House 1 may have one of the smaller backyards, but that didn’t stop Adam and Jolene from going all out with the land they did have.

While the judges were impressed by the landscaping work ,Marty and Shaynna felt the garden was too exposed, with not enough coverage for the pool area. “Everyone can see you, you’re [in] a fish bowl,” Shaynna said.

Guest judge Dave Franklin loved the statement sculpture, calling it “striking.”

The garage was praised as “practical and easy to maintain.”

All the extra storage was a win, however, Darren pointed out that the work bench should have been pushed back to allow extra room for the cars.

The wine cellar was the stand-out feature of the garage. Darren said it resembled an “installation from an art gallery.” While Shaynna called it “gorgeous.”

Moving into the courtyard, the judges spirits remained high. Marty was fawning over the arbor.

Meanwhile, Shaynna loved the amount of privacy in the space, as well as the styling.

Darren added he was “blown away,” before pointing out that the courtyard was screaming “money.”
