Episode 48 recap: Couple give brutally honest answer about the show during final walkarounds

There are just three days until our last tools down of The Block 2026 and if you thought there would be a last-minute jolt of energy, you’d be wrong.
Very wrong.
Zzzzzzz. Nine
Between naps, Lisa has managed to snag a water feature for House 3’s front yard.
Good for her. Not so good for Jolene, who was hoping to buy the same one.
She’s worried their yard will be without “wow factor”, but perhaps they won’t be the only ones if she and Adam finally close off access for their neighbours?
There is also an argy-bargy happening over a crane.
House 3 has been using it to lift sand into its yard.
“Worst-case scenario, the crane leaves,” Rosco says.
But before he can even finish his sentence, the Cursios next door have swooped in.
Lisa launches into battle, first with the brothers and then with her husband.
“He’ll just look pretty, and I’ll fight the fights,” she complains.
Get her to a couch in McCafé, stat. Nine
Uptown, Courtney and Sev are hosting a garage sale.
They’ve cooked a meal for the tradies on-site in House 4’s fancy kitchen, out of the goodness of their own hearts, sure, but mostly out of their desperate for cash.
After luring everyone in with warm food, Sev tries to offload everything from a TV to Wallabies merch I’m pretty sure they got for free the day before.
Ethically questionable, but $2000 is $2000.
This might grab them a plant or two. Nine
Speaking of questionable!
We’ve stumbled upon a fireplace scandal.
Chantel and Wyatt have craned in their Trendz fireplace, except it’s the wrong one.
It turns out their fireplace was actually used by Lisa and Rosco, leaving them with a design very different from planned.
Luckily for them, they have the Cursio brains at their disposal.
Adrian suggests they clad the new fireplace with the same stone as the house, tying everything together.
Despite giving a noon deadline for access through House 1’s yard, the afternoon rolls around and the gate is still wide open.
Adam is fine with that.
Jolene is not.
She is so frustrated she decides she needs a bit of time off-site, which culminates in an emotional breakdown in the car.
We’ve all been there!
While Jolene’s away, the stars align in her favour.
House 3 can’t afford the pond required to make their water feature a water feature.
“You are not acting like there’s $50,000 on the line here,” Jolene yells at Adam over the phone, just as Rosco heads over to sell it to them.
He wants $7000, but we know by now that he’s the worst negotiator in Block history, so they shake on $5000.
On Friday, Scott Cam and Shelley Craft arrive for their final walkarounds of the year and things get very reflective.
Rick and Adam cry. Scotty dishes out hugs. A few teams make a play for an All Stars season … and Chantel and Wyatt are not one of them.
“Hell no,” Chantel says of the prospect of round two.
Brutal. Nine
Adam and Jolene are finally closing access.
Just jokes! They needed to lay a concrete slab where everyone was previously coming in, so access has just shifted down a little.
It’s not a solution Jolene is stoked about.
They’ve played chicken about 200 times, but I think Sunday night might FINALLY be the day.
It’s going to have to be if they want to finish ahead of our very last Room Reveal.
We have (almost) made it! See you there.
