Episode 47 recap: One Blockhead declares they’re ‘over it’ with just days to go

With just days to go, the Blockheads are dreaming about life after The Block.
You know, when they can sleep in a house without people they’re feuding with and hopefully avoid shoving dirt.
Such fun! Nine
But for now, get shovelling.
Just to keep things interesting, Courtney and Sev have resolved their issues at the sharehouse but developed a frosty relationship on site instead.
It’s with their own landscaper, Troy Lovett.
They have $20,000 left, less than half of Troy’s projected bill for the week.
He has to really dial back their plans, on a week when $50,000 off their auction reserve is the prize.
Not great.
In the uptown houses, there’s some neighbourly cooperation going on.
All the soil and rock needed for the three houses’ front yards has been placed near House 1, and unless Houses 2 or 3 want to traipse wheelbarrows through their completed homes, their only access is through House 1’s yard.
Wyatt is enjoying the added cardio of walking back and forth, until Adam realises there is a money-making opportunity to be had.
He implements the “Mount Eliza tollgate”, blocking access unless his neighbours pay up.
He scores $10 from Adrian Cursio, but everyone else just bowls on through.
After last night’s final family dinner, joint winners Adam and Jolene and Courtney and Sev are finally heading out on their getaway.
Literally arm in arm. Nine
To prove they’re well and truly over their earlier disagreements, Adam has written a song with the lines “we’re going on a date with our worst mates” and “12 weeks of hell and here we are today”.
Water under the bridge!
Clearly the tune didn’t make it to Scott Cam, who is apprehensive about sitting down for a meal with two duos who don’t like each other.
Instead, it’s sunshine, rainbows and pretending the frostiness was worth it because it pushed each of them to work harder.
Back at the sharehouse, Rick has found himself in a dream scenario.
He’s home alone.
Why not? Nine
The next morning, the pleasantries continue as Adam and Courtney head back early, leaving Jolene and Sev to bond over croissants and take an extra hour or two to enjoy being dry and not covered in mud.
Those on site cannot say the same.
Wyatt is not having a good time.
Over. Nine
It. Nine
While a very pregnant Lisa is getting stuck in next door, he’s struggling to find any motivation to keep going in the last few days.
He wants it to be tools down. Right now.
“I do not care how I come across, I am over it,” he tells cameras.
Why not complicate his day further with a potential theft?
House 4’s landscaper Troy claims the Cursios have stolen some of his steppers.
He and Courtney visit House 2 to get to the bottom of it and the evidence is rather damning.
Woops. Nine
It turns out House 2 has 30 more than they ordered, so they give House 4 15.
Now that’s Block math.
Speaking of numbers, an extra $10,000 as the teams make their final push sounds good to everyone.
All they have to do to win it is take out a Stan Sport trivia night.
Is anyone good at trivia? No. Does anyone know anything about sport? Also no. Does Chantel even know who Shelley Craft, someone she has seen every week for 12 weeks, is? Absolutely not.
After showing off an abysmal amount of brainpower, Houses 1 and 3 are tied.
But much like in this year’s FIFA World Cup match between Australia and Egypt, which I’m sure none of the Blockheads watched, there needs to be a winner.
It’s shootout time:
Not the most thrilling tie-break I’ve ever seen. Nine
Already cashed-up Adam and Jolene are declared victorious, which is the outcome absolutely none of their rivals wanted.
Ahh, make sure to remember all of today’s good vibes.
Because tomorrow night? They’re Gone. Destroyed. Shut out of the competition, much like Jolene’s plans to finally shut off access through House 1. See you there.
