‘Are you serious!?‘: Dan and Dani erupt over ‘blinding’ optical illusion as duo warn it will ‘put off buyers’

Dan and Dani were excited to see The Block houses come together with the completion of their backyard and garages, but a lack of any “big wow” factor in Chantel and Wyatt’s yard had the duo feeling the space was a little undercooked.

While they weren’t completely offended by the simplistic yard, they couldn’t say the same about Chantel and Wyatt’s garage. The space featured a blinding optical illusion floor that Dani claimed was “strobing”.

“What will put off buyers is the fact that you can’t look at the floor. That’s a real put-off to me,” Dani said.

Hoping for a turnaround after the lacklustre yard and garage, the pair headed into the spare room with fingers crossed. Unfortunately, they were let down yet again.

“Are you serious!?” Dan rolled his eyes after finding a dingy office cabinet.

“It’s really disappointing. They could’ve just presented an empty room to be honest,” Dani said.

Room Reveal: Chantel and Wyatt’s Backyard and Garage

Adam and Jolene’s garage sparked a debate between the couple over whether the garage could fit one car or two. Dan insisted there was only room for a single vehicle, while Dani argued the depth allowed for two cars parked end-to-end.

If Dan’s take holds true, the single-car capacity could take a serious bite out of the home’s resale value.

Dan thought Lisa and Rosco delivered a solid backyard considering their tight budget, but the lack of cash was painfully obvious the moment they stepped into the garage, which was left completely unfinished with bare concrete floors.

Courtney and Sev’s custom wave wine cellar easily won Dan over, but Dani remained sceptical.

She quickly pointed out a major design flaw with the wine cellar seating layout.

And in Rick and Tayla’s spaces Dan and Dani were stunned to find that once again they failed to fully finish their spaces.

To make matters worse, their yard was plagued by several design issues, including a flight of grass steps that Dan and Dani branded “totally impractical.”
