Room Reveal: Rick and Tayla’s Backyard and Garage
Rick and Tayla have been given the biggest backyard out of everyone, can they use that to their advantage and take home their first win?
Rick and Tayla are yet to win a room. Can they finally pull off a win with their Backyard and Garage?

The judges started in Rick and Tayla’s garage. While they loved the exterior of the garage, they were less impressed by the inside.

Shaynna couldn’t understand using a graphico wallpaper in the garage that linked back to the kids bedroom. Marty agreed, adding “Why would you want to tie your bedroom to a garage.”

They said the functionality of the work space was good, but they put too much effort into the wrong parts of the garage, which was missing flooring and skirting boards.

Spirits lifted when the judges entered the backyard, which has the largest land size out of all the block houses this season.

Unfortunately, they realised that Rick and Tayla were unable to complete the yard, with cladding missing from the side of the deck. “Aw look, how gutted would you be,” Shaynna said upon seieng the unfinished area.

Landscaping expert Dave Franklin called the landscaping “perfect,” with the judges agreeing.

Everyone loved the massive lawn, saing it’s what they had been waiting for all day. Marty added that it was a shame they didn’t complete their backyard, as it was his “favourite space for today.”

Up the landscaped stairs, the judges found something “genuinely cool.” “It’s beautiful,” Shaynna agreed.

Marty even went as far as saying their backyard had the “best landscaping,” and the “best place to sit down,” in front of the fire place this week.
