The Block's Ronnie and Georgia share tips on Instagram after cleaning front façade of their home

Whenever Ronnie and Georgia share photos and videos on social media of their home, fans are always keen to know more about it.

That's exactly what happened when The Block couple shared Instagram stories of Ronnie cleaning the front façade of their beautiful white weatherboard house at the weekend.

Using a pressure cleaner, Ronnie was able to get all the dirt off the exterior leaving the cottage sparkling clean.

Of course, just like painting on The Block, Ronnie preferred to "operate this level of machinery" himself.

And then the questions from fans rolled in, which the couple were happy to answer.

When asked how often they clean the front façade, Ronnie and Georgia said they do it about "four times a year".

"We recently had some trees cut down, so they were extra dusty this time around," they answered.

Their followers also wondered why they were cleaning the house when they're about to do a renovation, but Ronnie and Georgia said the façade is staying as is.

"We're a couple of months away from our renovation... the verandah is in desperate need of restoration. I'm currently toying with the idea of replacing boards with tiles," Georgia replied.

Fans also wanted to know if the pressure washer chipped the paint. Ronnie and Georgia said the exterior paint they recently painted the façade with held up well to the clean.

The couple revealed the paint they used was Snow Mountain by Dulux.

Ronnie and Georgia showed off the clean façade in a separate Instagram post where they were asked even more questions about the decorative elements like the sign on the wall.

They also gave more details about the upcoming renovation project.

"Every room internally needs a renovation — the walls have their original 100 year old plaster, no insulation, super dated bathrooms — it's actually a little bit of a disaster! Excited to start our reno soon," they commented.

The two-time Block contestants have also shared details of their previous kitchen makeover. This mostly involved painting the cabinetry a beautiful green colour, which was the same shade used in their master bedroom on The Block 2021.

They also changed the benchtops, splashback and added some floating shelves in. Georgia also hacked an Ikea tablecloth into a cute curtain.

Another DIY project Ronnie and Georgia did on their property which got their fans' attention was their stencilled concrete. This was an affordable and easy way to update their backyard by giving the look of decorative tiles while waiting to do a full renovation.

These three projects all show how a simple clean and coat of paint can help revive or transform a space until you're ready to do a more permanent makeover.
