All Stars Tom and Sarah-Jane reveal the one major difference between their renovation and the current Block

EXCLUSIVE: When Tom Calleja returned to The Block as an ex-contestant, he soon noticed a major difference between the Phillip Island site and the one he and wife Sarah-Jane renovated in 2022.

You might recall Tom and Sarah-Jane who made a name for themselves as the front runners on The Block: Tree Change in Gisborne, Victoria.

Couples were tasked with renovating 500 square metre houses on 10 acres of land. It made history as the largest site ever and with it came an array of challenges.

In an exclusive video, which you can watch above, Tom admitted that when he returned to The Block in 2023 and 2024 as a higpages ambassador he thought the teams had it much easier than he did.

Sarah-Jane also revealed that she had a sneak peek of the new site herself, and was gobsmacked by how different the scale was.

"They [the seasons] are all hard in their own way," Tom tried to even the playing field.

"But you didn't realise how big ours was until you walked into other houses that were still big but you just looked at it like, 'That's a walk in the park,'" Sarah-Jane chimed in.

Tom agreed, saying the scaled of the 2022 was "crazy" in comparison.

"Without sounding like we had it really tough, we also embraced every bit of it which made it fun for us," he added.

Sarah-Jane's styling became highly-praised throughout the season. Their country kitchen was their most memorable space scoring a perfect 30 out of 30.

With "zero styling experience", Sarah-Jane reveals just how she nailed her styling technique and the couple lift the lid on what they've been doing since The Block.

The Block airs Sundays at 7:00pm and Monday to Wednesday at 7:30pm on Nine and 9Now.
