The Block's Dan and Dani Reilly confirm their return to 2025 season as they reflect on the passing of daughter Billie

The Block's Dan and Dani Reilly have confirmed they will be returning to film the 2025 season of the show in Daylesford, Victoria.

In an emotional message penned to social media, Dani opened up about how they would navigate the three-month relocation after the devastating loss of their daughter Billie.

The couple announced the passing of their daughter, Billie Vera Reilly, in December 2024 at 10 days old.

Two months on Dan, Dani and their dogs Hazel and Olive are making the move away from family to The Block site where Dan will take on Foreman duties.

"Today, we (me, Hazel and Olive) relocate to Daylesford to be with Dan while he films the next Block. As you can imagine, this next period was supposed to be something it's now not," Dani wrote.

"Being away from friends and family it hits so differently now."

Dani shared what she'd hoped the three months would've been like with Billie.

"We were so excited for this three months adventure with out little family... Billie had the cutest little wardrobe ready to roll too. So many little things like this that actually don't (and never did) really matter. And while isolation with a three months would have been new to navigate, I'd rather that be my biggest worry.

"The hardest part of the next three months will now be surrendering to what this time actually is in real time and not holding expectations or resentment about what it's now not.

"Right now I'm so heartbroken. People keep saying how strong I am but remember I'm sharing snippets of my life. This is the hardest, most horrific time of my life and when I'm on my my own, I'm mostly a sobbing mess and my body aches for my girl. Other bereaved mothers tell me that eases, so we'll see.

"Anyway, the term 'go gently' is used a lot in this world of grief so that's what we'll try and do."

In December 2024, Dan and Dani announced the devastating news that their daughter Billie had passed away in a social media post.

"It is with insurmountable grief that we share the news that our daughter Billie, has passed on from this life and into the next at just 10 days young," the couple wrote.

"In Billie's short time in this world, she taught us an intensity of both love and pain we never knew possible. She taught us what really matters.

"Billie was so wanted, so loved and she made us parents… and what an honour it is to be her mummy and daddy. She will always be our daughter."

The post continued: "We understand there will be questions, and so many of the answers we just don't have yet.

"We'll share more in time but for now we ask for privacy as we work through this together and with our loved ones."

Since then, Dani has been extremely open and vulnerable about their grief and have kept Billie's memory alive by sharing photos of her beautiful life.

Australia came to know and love Dan and Dani in 2012 when they became contestants on The Block while they were dating and left with a life-changing $448,000.

Dan and Dani returned in 2013 for the The Block All Stars series, taking home a profit of $220,000, and Dan later became foreman on The Block.

The pair tied the knot in 2018 after nine years together in an intimate ceremony on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula.
