The duo took a small detour from their signature beige style by injecting a bold splash of colour.
Bringing the "warm and inviting" vibes, they had plans for a self contained space that included a kitchenette and a TV nook.
But what left the judges absolutely gobsmacked?

"We've not hit this low before in the show and we don't want it to continue," sighed Taz. "Hopefully they see the vision."
Walking into the guest wing, Darren let out a little "oooooh" – the judge was in texture heaven!
All three judges were obsessed with the material choices in the kitchenette, including the new ribbed profile of the cream cabinetry.
"I've never seen this before," Shaynna gushed.
"I'm in love with these cupboards and it gives such a beautiful energy when you walk in."
The judge was even more delighted to see a mini fridge hidden underneath.
"There's a fridge in there! What you were asking," said Shaynna.
But that wasn't all...
They were thrilled to see a microwave, kettle and toaster – all the things you'd need in a guest suite.
However Marty was "perplexed" when he turned around.
"The wall panelling feels a bit odd," said Marty.
"Well, it looks a bit odd," Darren agreed.
"I feel like it's not as polished as the rest of the other rooms," Marty explained.
"Is that meant to be painted?"
We have to admit this paining is absolutely stunning and definitely inspired by the rolling hills of Daylesford.
Looking down however, Darren pointed out just how much time and effort would have gone into staining every single timber panel.
"That would have taken forever," he said.
But Shaynna didn't mind it, she just felt it looked a "little raw".
She did love the rest of the bedroom! Shall we take a look?
Shaynna loved the size of the rug. She adored the colour palette, the textures and the way the room was styled to be inviting, as if you were a guest.
"I love the huge bedsides even though they're more sort of sofa tables, they work perfectly," praised Shaynna.
