House 3 couple Britt and Taz admit their first week on The Block was "exhausting".

"It is everything you see on TV and more, it's so intense," Britt said.

Considering they were caught up in the great tile glue debacle of 2025, that's probably an understatement!

After having to redo every tile in their bathroom, it was a miracle that Britt and Taz were able to finish at all.

And you bet they are stoked to have pulled it off!

House 3 spent $21,350 on their bathroom in Week 1, just a touch over the advised $20k budget.

Considering the extra labour costs caused by the Mastik tile drama, that isn't too bad!

They got off to a flying start, as Marty gushed "oh I love these French pattern tiles" as soon as the judges opened the door into House 3's bathroom.

"How good is that?" he gushed.

The judges quickly clocked that Britt and Taz had used wallpaper on one half of the room.

Darren full of praise for this as both a clever time and money-saving tactic.

"I'm all for wallpapers, especially if they're a vinyl paper like this in a bathroom," he said.

After seeing House 1 and House 2's bathrooms, the judges were struck by how different this House 3 colour palette was.

"This is a completely different look," Shaynna praised, before pointing out allll the parts she loved most...

"I love the fluting," Shaynna continued.

See how Britt and Taz have tied this in with both their shower screen and vanity?

She also praised the texture, warm toned tiles and large, open skylight.

But of course, it wasn't all positive.

And to illustrate her first problem, Shaynna went to grab a prop...

Yep, a tape measure!

Her measurements showed that the vanity and basin were well above the standard height you'd want for comfortable hand-washing and grooming.

She also questioned Britt and Taz's nickel tapware.

"I love nickel but if they're going for 'warm rustic', this nickel to me is not warm enough," she said.

But the cool-toned finishings weren't her biggest problem.

In fact, Shaynna was on the war path against another feature in the room, which she'd already gotten sick of seeing on The Block this year...

Three words: vertical towel rails.

If there is one thing to know, it is that Shaynna is NOT a fan.
