Courtney and Grant's Main Ensuite

Courtney and Grant have landed in second place for the last two weeks, so it's safe to say they are itching for first prize.
But the duo suffered a few setbacks during the week, namely having their site shutdown by Foreman Dan after they failed to attend a safety meeting.

The penalty didn't stop the Sydney couple from putting their blood, sweat and tears into a space that they hoped would bag them their first win.
"Considering how good the competition is, getting a win would be really nice," Grant said.

In Week 2, Scott Cam urged Courtney and Grant to reign in their spending on trades and labour after they blew their budget early on.
And it seemed that House 2 heard Scotty loud and clear.
This week, Grant came down hard on his builders to get their labour costs under control as they were taking almost double the tradesmen to do the same job as compared to other houses.
Come Room Reveals, they managed to deliver their main ensuite for $20,575 – right on budget!
Courtney and Grant had a clear vision in mind for their main ensuite.
"We're trying to tie it into the other bathroom, stick to that Moderterranean style," Courtney explained.
"We've got travertine checkerboard tiles, a double shower and Venetian plaster."
Seems like an unbeatable combo!
The judges' jaws dropped as they walked into Courtney and Grant's master ensuite.
"Wow I love this so much," Darren beamed.
While Marty called the space "insane".
With an array of different textures to spice up the neutral palette, Shaynna thought it was "touch worthy".
Darren felt the same saying, "I want to touch everything."
Darren couldn't rave enough about House 2's main ensuite.
"This soft texture against that nice sharp microcement curve and the details of the oak…
"It's so current! Yes. Yes. Yes!"
Shaynna believed that Courtney and Grant had perfected the balance between classic and trendy.
"It's got a very muted palette but it's sexy because of the texture, because of the matte finish, because of this beautiful marble," she said.
Courtney and Grant were "highly commended" for taking a risk with their checked tile choice.
"It's something I haven't seen anyone do before and it looks phenomenal," Shaynna beamed.
Darren thought the main ensuite was perfect for the Phillip Island location.
"I love this colour palette. It shows you the rock, the sand, earth, trees. Everything from Red Rocks Beach just down the road, this is a snapshot of it right here."
"It's very Phillip Island appropriate," Marty seconded.
Shayna thought the marble niche was the hero of the space and loved that they'd been diligent with costs by not tiling the whole room.
As a bonus, she thought the plasterwork really warmed up the space.
