Before and after: What the 2024 Block Island houses will look like

Phillip Island is home to five of The Block 2024's exquisite homes – well, it will be once the teams have finished building them over 12 weeks!
For now, the 10 Blockheads have a complete 3D render to work towards.

Having a digital plan of what the homes will eventually look like is no doubt a massive help on The Block and we're sure influenced the teams as they established their styles and plans.
Scroll through to see what the homes look like before and what they'll (hopefully) look like when the five duos are through with them.
We'll also reveal which team has which house although this year there's been a big change which could even effect the outcome of Auction Day.
House 1: Front | Before
Maddy and Charlotte are our youngest ever contestants on The Block at the age of 24 and 22.
They grew up watching the show with their family every year.
They joined the show after Jesse and Paige decided to leave Phillip Island, taking over House 1.
There was no House Decider Challenge this year and instead the houses were allocated to the teams by a game of chance.
Usually the teams were given 48 hours and a modest budget to put their building skills on display. The winner of the challenge would go on to select which house they would transform, the second, third and so forth.
This year, things were different. With no House Decider Challenge Scotty stood in front of five wooden penguin sculptures and explained how things would work:
"You get to pick a penguin first, on the other side of that penguin is a Colorbond colour and that colour matches the roof colour of the house that you are going to renovate for the next 12 weeks," the host explained.
"Basically, you pick a penguin you pick a house."
As the first team to step foot on The Block, Jesse and Paige picked a penguin statue at random which assigned them to House 1.
Now they've left, it's been automatically assigned to Maddy and Charlotte.
House 1: Front | After
Here's what it should look like in 12 weeks' time!
We haven't got a full taste of Maddy and Charlotte's style as of yet, but we're excited to see how it develops.
House 2: Front | Before
From Western Sydney, married couple Courtney and Grant managed to snap up House 2.
Having built and styled their home, Courtney and Grant don't have a ton of renovating experience but aren't total novices either.
House 2: Front | After
The light and fresh exterior of House 2 appears to match Courtney and Grant's aesthetic perfectly.
They're dubbing their style 'Moditerranean' – a fusion of modern and Mediterranean design.
House 3: Front | Before
Like the rest of the Blockheads, best mates Ricky and Haydn are starting with the barest of bones.
The loveable larrikins from Victoria, were given House 3 to transform.
House 3: Front | After
With a similar facade to House 1, Ricky and Haydn hope to execute a high-quality build with sleek finishings.
House 4: Front | Before
Kylie and Brad are the proud new owners of House 4.
They have four kids together and have renovated their family home, they're hoping this experience will make them well-equipped for The Block.
It also doesn't hurt that Brad is a double tradesman as a trained plumber and electrician.
House 4: Front | After
With a distinct style and love for all-black everything, Kylie has plans to give House 4 a unique look.
She wants to target a market that isn't looking for your everyday beach shack.
House 5: Front | Before
As the only double-storey home on The Block, House 5 was highly sought after.
Kylie and Brad had their eyes on it but in the end it was Kristian and Mimi who snatched it up.
Would the double storey mean double the work? Or twice the profit come Auction Day?
