Watch: Interior designer teaches Ricky and Haydn how to perfectly style a bed as they hilariously try to recreate their learnings

There's no denying Ricky and Haydn are great builders, but the boys have found they haven't been able to nail it when it comes to their styling or "zhoosh" on The Block.

As they geared up to style and showcase their guest bedroom to the judges in time for Room Reveals, they called upon Freedom interior stylist Jack to be their saving grace.

When it comes to styling a bedroom, the bed is of course the star of the show.

Let's face it, there's nothing better than walking into a room and seeing a plump and plush made bed ready to jump into.

Thankfully, Jack gave the boys a step-by-step tutorial of just how to present one.

In the wee hours of the morning Ricky and Haydn were left scratching their heads when it came to "zhooshing" their room.

Thankfully, they had Jack's cheat sheet to refer to.

When it comes to styling a bed it helps if your doona is folded or rolled down. This will help you showcase your sheets whether they be textured, patterned or in a statement colour.

Then of course there are the cushions and pillows. When stacking pillows, think outside the box. They don't have to be perfectly stacked and can be varied in colour, shape and material to add an element of interest.

Ricky had an all-important question for Jack during the styling consult: "With the throw, do you fold it? Do you make it look rough? Because it frightens me."

And of course designer Jack had the answer.

If you're after a more relaxed, casual look, Jack's instruction was to grab the centre of the throw and let it organically fall.

Alternatively for a more polished vibe, you can run the throw square across the end of the bed. The key here is to still create layers rather than one simple fold.
