'My secret humiliation': MAFS' Melissa Rawson shares relatable mum 'confession' in honest post to fans
Married At First Sight's Melissa Rawson has shared a very relatable "confession" when it comes to being a mum of young kids.
Liss, who shares three-year-old twin boys Levi and Tate with husband Bryce Ruthven, opened up about the realities of motherhood (and self care) in her latest blog post on Her Second Shift.

"Let me tell you a little secret," the 35-year-old began. "I own precisely one bra."
Sharing her story later to her 240,000 followers on Instagram, Liss said it was her "secret humiliation" and here's why.
"[It's] not just any bra – it's the $4.75 Kmart bra," she wrote.
Her "single ugly bra" was a metaphor for motherhood, she explained, or at least her honest experience of being a mum to twins.

"As mums, our priorities shift entirely, even when we say before motherhood that they won't. Everything about ourselves is pushed to the back burner; self-care especially," she continued.
Liss wrote about the reality of putting your children first, how mums are often faced with the decision to buy something for herself or for her child.

"It's not that I don't want a new bra. Now and then, I'll think to myself, maybe today is the day I'll 'splurge'," she continued.
"Suddenly, I remember all the things we need for the kids, the overdue bills, and the fact that I still haven't started working," she wrote.
"Somehow, the idea of spending money on something as 'frivolous' as a bra doesn't make the cut in my mind."

Not to mention the cost of a half-decent bra, Liss pointed out before noting her "$4.75 Kmart bra has likely increased in price due to the cost of living."
"I simply couldn't justify the excessive purchase for myself," she admitted.

Liss mentioned of course her husband Bryce has offered "on countless occasions" to help shop for such things.

"Again, I always come back at him with, 'Don't waste your money'," Liss wrote.
Liss hoped that by sharing her relatable experience, it can act as a reminder that "mums don't have to be perfect".
"It's about showing up for [your] kids every day," she wrote.
