Married At First Sight's Jack Millar and Love Island Australia's Courtney Stubbs have defended their decision to welcome a new puppy after rehoming his old dog, Finn.

The couple announced that they had become a "family-of-four" thanks to their border collie puppy Kobe with an Instagram video.

However, Courtney also explained that she and Jack had rehomed Finn, who stole the show at his MAFS wedding to Domenica Calarco in 2022, after he developed "behavioural issues" that endangered their 11-month-old daughter, Penelope.

"We are so excited to welcome our little boy Kobe to the family. A little secret we wanted to share with you, although one that does come with mixed feelings," Courtney shared with her followers.

She said she and Jack had both received messages about where six-year-old Finn was.

"He is OK but is no longer living with us. Over the past 18 months Finn has had some behavioural issues that have become quite severe and dangerous around Penelope," she explained.

"A lot of time was spent trying to train him ourselves and with a specialist. We set spots for him away from Penelope but unfortunately nothing worked. Sadly, now Finn lives with Jack's parents where he is very loved!"

Courtney said rehoming Finn and getting another dog was not an easy decision.

"Kobe and Penelope have already connected and it's so beautiful to see them grow together everyday. Onto this chapter for our family 🤍", she concluded.

In the comments, a follower said they were curious about the decision to rehome Finn and get a new dog "whose predictability and temperament you will not know".
