MAFS' Melissa Rawson speaks candidly on hopes of fostering or adopting a child in future
Married At First Sight's Melissa Rawson has opened up about considering parenting a foster child in her latest blog post on Her Second Shift.

In the post, Liss, 35, was transparent about how she and husband Bryce Ruthven– who are already parents to two-year-old twin boys Levi and Tate – have openly discussed the topic in recent months.
They believe now isn't the right time to expand their brood but "it could be viable down the track."
"I've been candid about my inability to cope with the newborn phase, and I honestly don't think I could go through that again," she wrote. "We currently do not have the space or financial means to support another child."
On top of that, the family are currently in the middle of a big interstate move from Melbourne to the Gold Coast.
But while having biological children may not be on the cards, the idea of of fostering or adopting has been a big point of conversation between the couple.

"On a positive note, the twins are at an extremely fun age, and we have often discussed, 'Could we?'" she wrote, adding her partner would love to have a daughter in future.

The mum-of-two was honest about her questions surrounding fostering or adopting a child.
"How would our children cope? What if the child in our care didn't want to be there?" she wondered.

Liss also worried about the foster child's emotional and physical wellbeing and the responsibility of being the primary parent.
In the blog, Liss spoke to her good friend Leanne to answer some of her questions about the process of fostering a child into a loving home.
Leanne's mother Joan is is one of OzChild's longest-serving foster carers and the recipient of the Order of Australia (OAM) medal.
Australia first met Melissa and her husband Bryce on Season 8 of MAFS. They welcomed Levi and Tate in October 2021.
The little boys arrived into the world early and spent the first month of their lives in the the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
Melissa and Bryce officially tied the knot in a stunning beachside ceremony in February 2023, and have been sharing updates on family life ever since.
Recently, the couple confirmed they were moving from Melbourne to the Gold Coast.
"After the sudden death of my father, my surprising ADHD diagnosis, 300+ job rejections in Melbourne, and Bryce's nan passing away, it's time for a change.," Liss wrote on her blog.
"The four of us have also been sick for months. Me more than anyone," she explained.
Earlier in the year Liss was hospitalised with the flu and contracted conjunctivitis, gastro, HFM disease and general colds. The family had hopes that Queensland's warmer weather would help reduce their chances of sickness.

Another reason for the move was that Bryce's grandfather, who now lives alone, resides on the Gold Coast.
"We can keep him company while renting out my house in Melbourne, which will hopefully save us some money," Liss added.
While the family had lots to look forward to, Liss admitted that the moving process had so far been "extremely overwhelming" and she was struggling with the idea of leaving her family.
"My mum, dad and sister are my backbone," Liss penned.
"My sister is the sparkle to my soul, my mum does more for me than I deserve, and my dad took me in as his own and gave me a fruitful life."
Liss was looking forward to a change of pace and the sunshine but said the move was not necessarily "forever".
