Cameron Green might only be on six but there's big expectations for what he could produce on day two.

"I'm expecting things from Cameron Green I think he did really well to get through tonight, he'll enjoy batting with Usman Khawaja, an experienced player, but I think we're going to see big things from Cameron Green in his first outing at number four," Brad Haddin said on Fox Cricket.

Fast bowling legend Brett Lee went one step further and predicted Green will be raising the bat ... and the helmet.

"I'm backing a Cameron Green hundred ... hopefully," he added.

Shamar Joseph's debut has left Kerry O'Keeffe and Michael Vaughan in awe after he scored 36 at the bottom of the order for the West Indies and removed Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne to keep his side in the hunt.

"He's the story, what a day for the young chap," Vaughan said.

O'Keeffe: "He's brought his team back into the game, at 188 well under par they needed two or three wickets before stumps, he provided the two and with jaffers ... that's a debut to savour."

The day finishes with Australia on 2-59.

Cameron Green finishes six not out while Usman Khawaja has 30.

Cameron Green is out there now.

He might only be on five at the moment but Marnus Labuschagne has reached a significant milestone, tallying his 4000th Test run.

It's taken him 83 innings to get there, the fifth quickest for Australia.

Steve Smith is out and it's Shamar Joseph with a wicket on his first ball!

The opener edges it to third slip and it's a well taken catch.

"Amazing," Brian Lara said on Fox Cricket.

You can tell it's Joseph's first wicket as he wheels away in celebration, what a start!

Joseph is only the second West Indian to get a wicket with his first ball.

Usman Khawaja has been dropped!
