A journalist with a particular thirst for, and knowledge of, athletics, he was in France to report on Paris 2024 and in Tokyo to cover the 2025 World Athletics Championships.

He is also known to write about many sports outside the Olympics and Paralympics, including rugby league, Australian rules football and cricket.
In his previous job, Zachary was Media Coordinator at the Sydney Swans, a role in which he wrote for the club website and interviewed the players and coaches on SwansTV.
Education
He studied a Bachelor of Sports Media at the University of Canberra, graduating in 2017, and did his schooling at The Scots School in Bathurst, graduating in 2013.
Awards and Recognition
At the 2024 Australian Sports Commission Media Awards, Zachary was a finalist for the Rising Star award and received a Highly Commended in the category Best Coverage of Sport for People with Disability.
