As the highly anticipated Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce wedding reportedly kicks off today, Friday, July 3 (Saturday, July 4 AEST), details about the timeline have emerged alongside an act of incredible generosity.

This week, the couple donated $US26 million ($37 million) to charities across America, all of which have ties to the couple through personal causes.

Swift’s publicist said the couple donated to New York organisations including the Food Bank For NYC, City Harvest and to Musical Mentors, a not-for-profit that connects music teachers with students in need.

The donations also honour the places the couple call home. The Rhode Island Community Food Bank – near Swift’s famed Watch Hill estate – and the Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, where Kelce stars as tight end for the Chiefs, all received undisclosed donations.

They also donated to Feeding America, the ASPCA and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, a book-giveaway program spearheaded by the country legend.

Multiple US outlets reported the star-studded wedding will be held at Madison Square Garden over 10 hours.

Page Six confirmed the pop star and NFL player, both 36, are set to start their wedding bash with a rehearsal dinner of 100 guests at the arena’s Infosys Theatre from 6pm to 10.30pm on Thursday.

When the big day finally comes on Friday, doors will open for an expected 1,000 guests at 3.30pm with a 4pm cocktail hour to follow on the sixth-floor concourse.

The official ceremony will then start at 5.30pm on the arena floor.

The theatre holds more than 5000 seats and is a secure location that will help shield Swift, Kelce and their guests from any paparazzi.

Multiple US outlets have captured production trucks unloading huge props into the arena.

Labels have been spotted inside the trucks and on boxes, with one reading “Garden Party”, and another reading “40-inch mirror ball”.

Event planning company Winick Productions also filed a permit with the New York City Council to close streets surrounding the venue between July 2 and July 4.

Winick Productions is an event production company that specialises in large-scale special events in New York, according to its LinkedIn page.

On Tuesday morning, photographers (who have been perched outside the arena for days) also captured a large white banister being unloaded from the truck. It is believed to be part of a large castle installation being built inside the arena.
