'Til death': Aussie wrestling stars Rhea Ripley and Buddy Matthews tie the knot
Two iconic Australian wrestling stars traded in the wrestling ring for wedding rings over the weekend.
WWE star Rhea Ripley and AEW star Buddy Matthews married in what appeared to be a beautiful ceremony last Sunday.
The pair took to Instagram with a combined post to share the news.

"Til death," they simply captioned the post, along with the date they tied the knot: "23.06.24".
Accompanying the sweet caption was a photo of the pair kissing at what appeared to be the altar.
Ripley looked stunning in a black off-the-shoulder dress and held a stunning bouquet of red, white and black roses. Her black hair was styled in loose waves which cascaded over her shoulders.
Matthews kept to the theme, wearing an all-black suit with floral details.
Behind them, a neon sign reading "Til Death", glowed behind them in bright red.
WWE journalist Cathy Kelley took to the comment section of the pair's post telling Matthews: "you win this round buddy".
Hundreds of thousands of others reacted to the pair's Instagram announcement with thousands sharing their congratulations to the newlyweds.
"Congrats," wrote fellow WWE athlete Bianca Belair.
"Woo congrats guys," wrote another WWE athlete Pamela Rose Martinez, who goes by the moniker Bayley.

The wedding comes almost a year after the pair announced their engagement in August 2023.
Ripley took to her Instagram to share the news with a photo of her kissing her Matthews on the cheek.
The pro-wrestler popped the question to Ripley while they were on holiday in Florida.
To which Ripley said "1000x YES," per her Instagram caption.

Earlier this year, Matthews took to his Instagram with a sweet post expressing his love for Ripley.
"They say the world is a small place, yet it's the biggest thing humans have walked on," he wrote.
"Yet my world is 5'8 - 170lbs & the most beautiful thing I've ever seen!"
