With one final hurrah that was this morning's spectacular closing ceremony, the Olympic Games Paris 2024 has officially come to an end.
While the past two weeks in Paris have seen Olympians push themselves to the limits in the name of their sport and their country.
They have also seen countless celebrities flock to the City of Lights to catch the world's elite in action.

Celine Dion's incredible return
For those whose entire lives have revolved around the Olympic Games recently, this may feel like a lifetime ago.
But one of the most memorable celebrity moments of Paris 2024 happened during the opening ceremony.

After each country paraded their way down the Seine under pouring rain, everyone's eyes were drawn halfway up the Eiffel Tower where Celine Dion belted out Hymne A L'Amour in a surprise appearance to conclude the ceremony.
The performance was a milestone moment for the star as it was her first since she had to take a break from singing amid her ongoing battle with Stiff Person Syndrome.

The 56-year-old shared a personal message after the incredible performance.
"I'm honored to have performed tonight, for the Paris 2024 Opening Ceremony, and so full of joy to be back in one of my very favorite cities! Most of all, I'm so happy to be celebrating these amazing athletes, with all their stories of sacrifice and determination, pain and perseverance," the singer penned on her Instagram account, sharing it alongside a photo of her making a heart with her hands.
Lady Gaga's fabulous feathers
Another show-stopping moment during the opening ceremony belonged to superstar Lady Gaga.
The star emerged from a plume of pink feathers in the middle of the Seine surprising millions with a performance of a lifetime.
The singer and actress sang Mon Truc En Plumes, which means 'My thing with feathers', in an ode to her "very special connection" with French people and music.

"I wanted nothing more than to create a performance that would warm the heart of France, celebrate French art and music, and on such a momentous occasion remind everyone of one of the most magical cities on earth – Paris," she wrote to Instagram after the performance.
Jimmy Fallon getting selfies with the French president
While some stars were in Paris to give the performance of a lifetime, others were there to simply have fun.
This could not be more true for Jimmy Fallon who seemed to be having the time of his life with the French President.

While there have been plenty of celebrities at the Olympic Games over the past fortnight, one has stood out among the rest.

He did several meet and greets with athletes from Team USA, he made a fashion-first appearance at the dressage team Grand Prix final with his longtime bestie Martha Stewart and his face said it all as he watched Simone Biles defy gravity during the Women's Artistic Gymnastics event.
Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes' rare outing
As one of Hollywood's most notoriously private couples, heads turned when Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes were spotted in the crowds at Paris.

Mendes, 50, and Gosling, 43 - who are reportedly married - stepped out for a very rare outing together among the star-studded crowd at the dressage Individual Grand Prix Freestyle on August 4 at the Palace of Versailles.
The Olympic snaps marked the first time the private pair have been publicly photographed together in several years.
Nicole and Keith's day out with both daughters
Another iconic Hollywood couple spotted at the Games was Aussie sweetheart Nicole Kidman and her husband Keith Urban.
The pair along with their children Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret were spotted lapping up the Olympics cheer at several events during Paris 2024.

And this morning it did so in style with some of America's biggest acts coming together to kick off the 2028 LA Olympics era with a slew of memorable performances.

Tom Cruise kicked off the segment by pulling of the mission impossible of transporting the Olympic flag all the way to the States in an epic stunt.
Grammy Award-winning singer H.E.R. performed the US national anthem onstage in Paris before Cruise sky-dived his way to the iconic Hollywood sign in LA. The handover kicked off in Venice Beach where some of America's biggest and best waited to perform on the famous Venice Beach.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Billie Eilish, Snoop Dogg and Dr Dre provided the sound-track to the memorable handover – providing a sneak peek into what we can expect at the next Olympic Games in four years time.
