Ozzy Osbourne, the original Prince of Darkness, a life in pictures
After a life in the spotligh, Black Sabbath frontman, Ozzy Osbourne, has died aged 76 following a battle with Parkinson's disease.
Known as the Prince of Darkness, his self-styled persona became one of music's most iconic characters.
Later in life, Osbourne transformed his image from that of a terrifying heavy metal figure to a loving family man.

In 1967 Ozzy linked up with Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler for his first ever gig.
In 1968, the duo formed the bland Black Sabbath along with Tony Lommi and Bill Ward.

Five years his junior, Sharon helped Ozzy kickstart his solo career when he was sacked from Black Sabbath in 1979 due to his drug and alcohol abuse.
The rocker had been previously married to Thelma Riley when he and Sharon first met.
Ozzy and Thelma share two children together, daughter Jessica, born in 1972 and son, Louis, born in 1975.
Three years after meeting, Sharon and Ozzy tied the knot on July 4, 1982 – the same year Ozzy's divorce to Thelma was finalised.
Ozzy and Sharon's marriage was one of of music's most enduring, despite numerous scandals including infidelity, addiction and even a brief split.
By 1983 the couple had welcomed their first daughter Aimee, closely followed by Kelly in 1984, and son Jack in 1985.
