Nicole Kidman reflects on the death of her beloved mother Janelle and her grief: 'Losing my mother changed every part of me'

Nicole Kidman has spoken about the impact her beloved mother Janelle Ann Kidman's death had on her and the grief she's experiencing in a candid new interview.

The Australian actress and Hollywood star, 57, posed up for Allure and admitted that her mother's death in September last year has deeply affected her.

"Losing my mother changed every part of me," Nicole told the publication.

Nicole said she used to speak to her mother on the phone first thing in the morning "every second or third day".

Speaking about her grief, she added: "The love was so profound that the loss of it..."

"I'm on the journey of grief, the year of magical thinking," she added.

Her mother Janelle Ann Kidman died in September last year, while her psychologist and academic father Antony Kidman died in Singapore in September 2014.

In March, Nicole shared a sweet photo of her late parents with her millions of followers on Instagram and said she was "missing Mumma and Papa so much" in a tribute.

Underneath, she received support from fans and some celebrity friends.

When her mother died, Nicole rushed to leave the 81st Venice Film Festival early to be with her family in Australia.

Nicole and her sister Antonia issued a statement following the death of their mother, thanking fans and family for their support throughout the difficult time.
