Australian-born reality star Monica Sirianni dies suddenly while out with friends aged 37
Australian-born reality star Monica Sirianni has died. She was 37.
Sirianni, who starred on the Italian version of Big Brother between 2011 and 2012 as a contestant, reportedly died on a night out in Italy.
Per Italian newspaper La Repubblica, Sirianni was out with friends in Soveria Mannelli, a town in Calabria in southern Italy, on May 5, when she suddenly fell ill.

Sirianni, who pursued a career as an English teacher following her time on the reality show, reportedly collapsed onto the floor while in a bar, and was taken to a local hospital.
Shortly after, she was pronounced dead. No cause of death has been given at this stage, however, it's been reported by the Italian newspapers that doctors have not ruled out an underlying heart condition.
Sirianni's body will be repatriated to Australia, where her parents live. The television star turned teacher was born in Sydney, which is where her parents had moved from Italy.

Although Sirianni's parents still live in Australia, Sirianni returned to Italy, and initially lived in the north of the country.
When she was 25, she appeared on Big Brother in Italy, and following her stint on the reality show, she became an English teacher.
"Monica had conquered the public with her love story with another competitor, Fabrizio Conti," La Repubblica, which broke the news, wrote in their tribute to Sirianni.
Sirianni and Conti's relationship did continue briefly after their time on the show.
"I wanted to remember this beautiful girl Monica Sirianni, former competitor of Big Brother and now a teacher," one fan wrote on social media after news of Sirianni's death broke.
Another fan wrote: "I'm very sorry! A hug to the family."
