Hollywood rocked by another split as Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli separate after 28 years of marriage

Hollywood has been rocked by yet another celebrity breakup, with Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli going their separate ways.

The couple, who are the parents of Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose Giannulli, have split after 28 years of marriage, People Magazine has reported.

"They are living apart and taking a break from their marriage. There are no legal proceedings at this time," Loughlin's representative Elizabeth Much told the outlet.

It comes as the Full House actress and fashion designer listed their Hidden Hills mansion for an eye-watering $16.5 million in February.

The pair bought the home in 2020 for $9.5 million, the same year that they were found to be involved in a college admissions scandal.

They both pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud after being accused of giving $500,000 to the University of Southern California to get their daughters into college. The couple had initially pleaded not guilty to the fraud charges.

Both girls were falsely classified as athletic recruits for the college's team, despite never participating in the sport.

Loughlin was sentenced to two months in federal prison, while her husband was sentenced to five months.

She was released in December that same year, and slowly returned to acting.

She first reprised her role as Abigail Stanton in When Hope Calls: A Country Christmas in December 2021, and then later starred in a couple of made-for-TV movies, including Fall into Winter and A Christmas Blessing in November 2022.

More recently, she appeared on Curb Your Enthusiasm, in which she played a dramatised version of herself and even poked fun at the admissions scandal.

Giannulli was released in April 2021.

The pair first met in a Los Angeles restaurant in 1995. After dating for two years, they eloped in 1997.

They welcomed their first daughter, Isabella in September 1998, followed by Olivia Jade nearly exactly a year later.

In a 2018 interview with Entertainment Tonight, the actress gushed about her husband, saying: "He's my person."

"It's communicating, it's listening, it's picking and choosing your battles. It's being flexible, it's all of that," she said at the time.

The reason for their split has not yet been confirmed.

The news comes just days after Aussie actress Nicole Kidman filed for divorce from country music star Keith Urban.
