And that’s a wrap!
Well, they wrapped it up quicker than last year and it’s safe to say that it was a night full of surprises!
We started things off with a dance number from Robert Irwin in a sparkling black outfit and finished things off with Sam Pang promising and failing to deliver a short speech when accepting the Gold Logie.
Magda Szubanski delighted us when she made a surprise appearance as Sharon Strzelecki and our hearts broke all over again when Sam Neill was awarded a posthumous Silver Logie for his role in The Twelve.
It was a big one, and now, thank god, we’re off to bed. Have a good one, see you next year.

Sam Pang WINS the Gold Logie
WHAT?! We didn’t see it coming, not even in the slightest, but comedian Sam Pang has won the Gold Logie!
Seeing Magda Szubanski give it him in full Sharon Strzelecki attire is something no one ever thought they’d get to witness, but here we are.
“Being here the last three years, I know what we all need. I’m going to keep this very, very short,” he joked as he ran on-stage looking more shocked than we are.
He then proceeded, of course, to do a pretty long speech.
“I just wanted to say... I grew up watching television at the feet of my parents – they wouldn’t let me on the couch,” he said with a laugh.
“It’s a wonderful industry, a wonderful world full of talented people... I am very, very lucky and very grateful to be part of it. Thank you very much. ”
We have a very special guest
YOU. ARE. KIDDING!
Robert Irwin promised us a “very, very, very special guest,” and boy, did he deliver.
The crowd erupted into cheers when none other than Magda Szubanski – who recently went into remission from cancer – took to the stage, in character as Sharon Strzelecki and dressed in full khakis as Australia Zoo’s latest trainee.
Irwin and Szubanski did a bit, honouring her role on Kath and Kim and her legacy in the Aussie TV industry, and may we just say, it was absolutely heart-warming.

We have a winner!
After building anticipation all night, we finally know what the public voted as the best Aussie TV show of all time - and we should have seen this coming.
In third place was A Country Practice.
Second place was awarded to Home & Away.
And in first place? Well, of course, that went to Kath and Kim!
We seriously should have seen this one coming! Nine
Sam Neill receives posthumous award
Absolutely beautiful. The beloved Sam Neill has received a Silver Logie following his death in July 2026.
The late star received the posthumous award for Best Lead Actor in a Drama for his role in The Twelve: Cape Rock Killer.
Neill’s close friend Heather Mitchell accepted the award on his behalf. “I’m so sorry I’m not Sam. I know how much this would mean to Sam, and to Sam, as Brooke just said, this is an indication of his connection – the connection he has with people, with his audience,” she said.

She explained how proud he was of The Twelve, saying he “relished” the character he played.
“Sam would want to thank his audience for the many years of loyalty and love they have showed him,” she said.
“His fellow actors meant everything to him; he loved actors, he supported actors, and I know he found their company the most fulfilling company.
“I’m not here to speak about Sam, but I know what this would mean. I know his heart would be so full, and he’d want to pour you all wine and embrace you all. Thank you, on behalf of Sam.”

This is Neill’s third Logie, two for his role in The Twelve: he was awarded Most Popular Actor in 2023 and Best Lead Actor in a Drama in 2025.
In 2003, he walked away with the Silver Logie for Most Outstanding Actor for his role in The Brush-Off.
Stan star takes home Silver Logie for Best Actress
Stan star Brooke Satchwell has taken home the Silver Logie for Best Lead Actress in a Drama for her role in Dear Life.
“I don’t do this job for attention, I do it because of a burning desire for connection, it really lights me fire,” she said, through broken breaths.

“Truth recognises truth, it is my absolute honour to give you my truth of terror, of fragility or vulnerability.”
“I really believe in the power of the human spirit... I really believe the human heart is our most amazing technology.”
“This means a lot to the 16-year-old kid who last stood her in front of you nearly 30 years ago and the now nearly 46-year-old who feels like she’s just beginning,” she said.
She thanked her fellow nominees for their “ferocity of spirit” and “huge hearts”, saying that each one of them inspires her.

Andrew Denton honoured
Beloved TV presenter Andrew Denton has been inducted into the Logies Hall of Fame.
After a career spanning more than 35 years in Aussie TV, Denton took to the stage to accept the honour, given to him by close friend and colleague, Amanda Keller.
A montage of pre-taped videos from peers celebrating Denton’s career played, including from TV personality Shaun Micallef and a hilarious moment when he sat on the lap of billionaire businessman James Packer.
