Jelly Roll breaks silence on divorce during live performance after wife’s shock revelation

Jelly Roll has spoken out about this divorce on stage just hours after his wife, Bunnie Xo, made an hour-long video explaining what led to the split.

Jelly Roll addressed the divorce mid-performance to a crowd of thousands, saying Bunnie was still his “best friend” and that he still loved her despite the split. He later posted a video of the moment to his Instagram.

“While we’re talking about liars, the internet is a liar too,” the 41-year-old said to the crowd in Saratoga Springs, New York.

“This is the only time and the only city I’m going to speak about this, so break your camera phones out now.

“Me and my wife are best friends, we will always be best friends. I will love her. She will probably be the only woman I’ll ever love the way I loved her.”

“Nobody cheated on nobody,” he continued. “She just did a whole podcast about it. You can go watch it, every word of it is the truth.”

He ended the speech by saying he won’t be discussing the topic again, before thanking Bunnie for the ten years they spent together.

“Thank you for the next 10 years of friendship, and 20 beyond that,” he concluded.

In her video, Bunnie explained what led to the breakdown of their marriage, saying that she felt as though she had “lost her sparkle. ”

After shutting down cheating rumours, she revealed she spent their entire relationship chasing the singer, claiming she “always loved him a little bit more” than he loved her.

Bunnie explained that everything came to a head in an argument where she was so exhausted that she told Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord, to “file the divorce papers.”

She said the pair did not speak for weeks following the fight, which is when DeFord filed for divorce in a move that was a surprise to her.

“Was I blindsided? And was this divorce mutual?” she said. “No, it was not mutual.

“Even though I told him to file the divorce papers, I was speaking out of anger and just frustration. But was it necessary for us to have a wake-up call and to actually start having these real conversations? Absolutely.”

Hoping to salvage the relationship, she pushed for couples therapy but he flatly “didn’t want that.”

“I felt like we deserved a chance to go to therapy and figure it out. He didn’t feel that way and I respect it. It took me a month and a half now to respect that,” she continued.

Despite the one-sided split, she noted that the divorce proceedings have remained amicable, with DeFord handing over the keys to the brand-new compound they had been building together.

Bunnie also revealed the surprise news that she and De Ford are still planning on “having a baby together.”

“We’re still having a baby together. So, we have been the most unconventional couple that you guys have ever encountered. But I love it,” she explained.

“We’re going to co-parent together. Jay is great about us still having a baby together and he wants the same thing. We’re just going to raise a little nugget as one big happy family.”

Recently, the couple had been regularly sharing updates on their IVF journey as they looked to start a family.
