Isaac Heeney’s fiancee Steffie Waters extends US holiday in telling update
Isaac Heeney’s fiancee Steffie Waters is continuing her trip in the US, touching down in Soho, New York without the suspended Sydney Swans vice-captain.
Waters posted a collection of new photos to her Instagram on Tuesday as she wrapped up her time in Austin, Texas before jet-setting to Indiana and then The Big Apple.

“Texas and Indiana did not disappoint,” she captioned the snaps taken with friend Miranda Rack in cowgirl-inspired outfits.
In one photo, the travel buddies posed in mini denim shorts paired with knee-high brown boots.
They snapped pics visiting a local bull-riding competition and local bars before catching a US college football game in university town Bloomington, Indiana.

In Indiana, Waters was clearly putting the weight of the Sydney Swans scandal behind her as she embraced the US collage experience.
Dressed head-to-toe in the school’s team colours and merchandise, Waters wrapped her arm around her friend while they posed in the stands of Indiana University’s football stadium.
Pre-game, the friends experienced a tailgate party with locals that involved plenty of cheering and a cappella singing.

Just hours after the photos were posted, Walters revealed she had touched down in Soho, New York with her friend.
Waters shared a geotagged image of the city’s famous high-rise buildings, while Rack posted a photo a sun-set city skyline.
Heeney has not been spotted in any of Waters’ US trip photos and instead has been pictured in Sydney, thousands of kilometres away.

Waters’ solo travels continue to raise questions about the status of her relationship with Heeney following the recent AFL scandal.
Neither Waters nor Heeney have publicly commented on the status of their upcoming wedding.
In Waters’ new posts it’s unclear whether she is wearing her engagement ring. But in some photos, her engagement ring does not appear visible.

Waters’ activity on Instagram comes after some telling changes to her social media accounts recently.
In mid-September, Waters deleted an engagement announcement photo of her and Heeney from her Instagram account.
The October 2025 post showed waters flashing her ring after Heeney proposed in French Polynesia.
At the time it appeared to be the only image of the couple removed from her page, until late September when Waters deleted multiple photos of her and Heeney together.
Waters also buried other photos of Heeney deep into the later slides of her Instagram carousels, though none of the couple could be seen on her grid.
Heeney has proposed to Waters while the pair were on a romantic holiday in French Polynesia in October 2025, though the post has since been deleted. Instagram
It also appears that Heeney and Waters have unfollowed each other on social media.
The alleged events of August 17 saw Swans vice-captain Heeney and four other players – Chad Warner, Nick Blakey, Riley Bice and James Jordon – suspended for the remainder of the season for breaching club standards.
Heeney has been revealed as the focus of a Victoria Police investigation into allegations of sexual assault.
The Victoria Police Sexual Crimes Squad continues to investigate an alleged sexual assault that occurred that evening, but no charges have been laid.

Nine.com.au is not suggesting any of the players who have been stood down have been accused of sexual assault, and no charges have been laid.
On October 1, Heeney claimed his third consecutive Bob Skilton Medal as the club’s best player, winning the top honour at the 2026 awards function despite his absence.
Heeney chose not to attend the ceremony at Sydney’s Town Hall following a club-imposed suspension for breaching team standards.
