Isaac Heeney’s fiancee Steffie Waters deletes engagement photo amid Sydney Swans scandal
Isaac Heeney’s fiancee Steffie Waters has deleted an engagement photo of the pair from her public Instagram account, as the fallout from the Sydney Swans scandal continues.
The October 2025 post – which showed waters flashing her ring after Heeney proposed in French Polynesia – appears to be the only image of the couple removed from her page.

Waters’ removal of the engagement announcement post has raised questions about whether their upcoming wedding will go ahead following the Sydney Swans scandal.
The alleged events of August 17 saw Swans vice-captain Heeney and four other players – Chad Warner, Nick Blakey, Riley Bice and James Jordon – suspended for the remainder of the season for breaching club standards.
While Heeney and Waters’ engagement post has quietly disappeared, many other loved-up pictures of the couple remain viewable to the public.
Several images of the pair, including pictures from their travels and their attendance at the 2025 Brownlow Medal ceremony, are still on Waters’ social media page.
Another photo, from May 5, depicts the pair sharing cocktails on the beach together.
“Happy 30th birthday to this boy. Can’t wait to be your wife,” Waters captioned the post.
The deletion of the engagement post isn’t the first signal Waters has made about their relationship.
In early September she unpinned the announcement post from the top section of her Instagram feed, making it less prominent to her followers.

Heeney has been revealed as the focus of a Victoria Police investigation into allegations of sexual assault.
The Victoria Police Sexual Crimes Squad continues to investigate an alleged sexual assault that occurred that evening, but no charges have been laid.
Nine.com.au is not suggesting any of the players who have been stood down have been accused of sexual assault, and no charges have been laid.
