Cody Simpson hit with another health issue as he reveals the horror moment he dislocated his knee
Aussie star Cody Simpson has had a rough couple of months and admitted the universe has been giving it to him.
The 29-year-old singer shared an update on Instagram and revealed that he’s on crutches, after he dislocated his knee while rehearsing for a music video, which has had a knock on effect with the other health issues he is currently facing.

Alongside a snap of himself in a knee brace and on crutches, he also shared the horror moment the dislocation happened.
In the clip he was mid-dance and seemed to just collapse in pure agony. He grabbed onto his knee in pain and crawled along the floor before the clip ended.
“The universe is serving it to me this year!” He started the post.
“An update on where I’ve been: I’ve been on and off vocal rest for close to 3 months trying to heal a damaged vocal cord.

“We decided to operate to aid the recovery, then I dislocated my knee rehearsing for a new music video and we had to push surgery back to let my knee settle.
“I can’t walk or talk for some time now, and no singing or dancing for months to come. But that won’t stop me. I’m still creating. The album and live shows have to wait, but I’ve got some work to share while I’m down for the count. Thanks for understanding. I’ll be back stronger ❤️
“FYI, we still shot the music video…”

The post has been flooded with messages from fans who wished him all the best in his recovery and to rest up because this could be the universe’s way of urging him to slow down.
Simpson’s post also included a video of himself at the doctor, with a specialist who explained more details about why he would need to go on vocal rest.
The Baby Blue hitmaker was hit with the vocal cord issues earlier this year, and has shared the details of it on social media.

In May he first opened up about the issues, admitting he originally hoped to keep it private but he had to cancel several TV and radio appearances due to the vocal rest and was forced to address it.
In a follow up post shared on his Instagram Stories a couple of weeks later he said he was “praying for a miracle” since it was discovered that he had a “serious haemorrhage” on one of his vocal cords.
Simpson said the haemorrhage was now gone but he was not out of the woods, as there was a “big damaged blood vessel on the underside of my right vocal cord”.

At the time it wasn’t clear if he would need surgery, although he has since confirmed that it was going to happen – although that’s now been pushed back with the new knee issues.
The months of health woes came just as the Aussie star made a triumphant return to music with two new singles, Baby Blue and When It Comes to Loving You.
He had been building to his new album release for months, bringing fans along on the journey of putting the record together.
