Room Reveal: Adam and Jolene’s Outdoor Terrace and Pool
Adam and Jolene managed to wow the judges with their outdoor space this week. But there was one decision that let them down.
Coming into Week 10, Adam and Jolene had given up on working toward pleasing the judges. “I never know what the judges are looking for, we can only do what we think is right for the house, and hopefully the judges see it the same way too,” Adam said.

Thankfully for the couple, the judges not only saw their vision, but they loved it (mostly).

“Look at this!” Shaynna exclaimed when she stepped out onto the deck. The judges’ attention was immediatly drawn to the sauna.

Shaynna explained that there are plenty of different saunas on the market, but Nook, the brand Adam and Jolene had chosen, is all Australian made. “How do I know that? I’ve been looking at them. They’re pretty cool,” she said.

Back at HQ, Scotty told the team that Darren recognised their space as more than just an outdoor terrace, but as a lifestyle proposition. The judges added that the outdoor space connects beautifully with the indoor rumpus room.

But, there was one major downfall, with the judges confused by the placement of the dining table.

“I’m tryna work this one out because these doors will open... all you’re going to see out of this incredible backyward is the backs of chairs,” Shaynna said. The judges said it felt a bit cluttered and recommended that the couple replace the table with a pair of plush chairs.

But, as the judges moved to the entertaining space, things only got better for Adam and Jolene.

Scotty told the couple that all three judges were “blown away” by their outdoor kitchen area. “How beautiful is this,” Darren said.

With a fridge, BBQ, pizza oven and more amenities available, the judges couldn’t believe their eyes. “This feels like a resort,” Shaynna said.
