Chrissy Teigen's pantry makeover by The Home Edit is full of inspiration for your own storage needs

Humans are a curious bunch, so we love getting the chance to see inside celebrity homes especially when its a meticulously organised pantry.

But often these pantries are huge with metres of shelves and as many food and cooking supplies as a supermarket. So while these are fun to look at they're not exactly relatable for most of us.

Thankfully Chrissy Teigen's recent pantry makeover is both fun to look at and has achievable storage ideas we can easily replicate.

The TV personality and cookbook author, who shares a home with singer John Legend and their two children, asked The Home Edit to transform her family pantry and test kitchen.

"The overall goal was to create systems where Chrissy can grab her ingredients at a glance," The Home Edit captioned an Instagram post with a video of the pantry.

Storage solutions used by The Home Edit team include using storage baskets and boxes to organise foods in categories.

The clear plastic boxes and wire baskets mean Chrissy and her family can easily see which items are where and whether anything is running low.

To make the clear plastic boxes even more organised, some have smaller containers inside the larger container. This is a great idea to separate different items within a category.

Each box and basket is also labelled so items stay organised and don't get mixed up.

The pantry shelves also features nuts, pasta and pretzels decanted into large glass jars with the jars displayed from smallest to largest.

Anyone who has floor space in their pantry but isn't sure what to do with it will love Chrissy's use of this area.

She's got five woven square baskets with labels filled with what looks like non-perishable items. These baskets would be great for things like reusable shopping bags and kitchen cleaning products.

Chrissy also has a metal cupboard filled with food, which is just as well organised.

There are two features of this space you might want to replicate at home. One is stacking cans on a tiered organiser so you can easily see which canned items you have.

The other feature, which is also on Chrissy's pantry shelf, is using a lazy Susan. This iconic storage product holds items on a turntable for maximum use of space and ease of use.

While The Home Edit has their own range of storage products, you can easily find similar versions at super affordable prices at stores like Kmart.

Before you head out and buy a heap of Lazy Susan turntables and containers to recreate Chrissy's organised pantry look, first take everything out of your pantry.

Then wipe the shelves clean, get rid of any out of date products and estimate how many storage items you'll need.
