Man shares what he discovered in his kitchen two years after moving in

Moving house can be an extremely difficult and tedious process, but it's always nice once it's all done and you can settle into your new place.

But there are always some surprises that come with moving into a new home. It might be some hidden storage, or a confusing light switch with no obvious function.

This happened to a man named Tom, who got a bit of a shock two years after moving when he finally discovered an appliance hiding in his kitchen.

"I am in shock. Lived in this flat for 2 years and only just discovered TODAY it has a dishwasher. I thought it was a fake cupboard. I've wasted days of my life washing up," he shared on Twitter.

The dishwasher is fully integrated into the kitchen design and on the outside just looks like another part of the cabinetry.

Tom was stunned to discover it. After sharing the discovery on Twitter it turned into a very heated post, with people questioning how it took this long to find the dishwasher.

"That fact that at no point did you give it a quick yank speaks volumes about your levels of curiosity. That closed cupboard is none of my business I'll stick to the open ones thankyouverymuch," commented one Twitter user.

Another wrote, "What would be behind the space? There had to be something? Why would you not pull it? I have more questions now than answers you've found."

"I am deeply envious of every aspect of this. But how'd you never try what looked like a drawer?" questioned another Twitter user.

One person wondered how many people had gone around their house pulling at cupboards to see if there were secrets hiding in their homes.

"There might be some rooms you haven't found yet. Try pulling at the big wooden things on the wall," added one sarcastic commenter.

It's definitely an interesting find, that's for sure.

While it's not on the same level as uncovering a secret room, a lot of us can agree finding a dishwasher hidden in the kitchen would be a blessing after hand washing dishes.
