The Block's Luke Packham shares the first photos of his baby girl Mia

Luke Packham is relishing his new role as a father to his one-week-old daughter Mia.

The former Block and Love Island Australia contestant paid tribute to his little girl with a gushing Instagram post featuring the first images of the bub's face.

"One week with our gorgeous little girl. Our hearts are so full with you in this world. I never could have imagined you being so perfect. We love you so very much!" he captioned the photos.

Luke and his fiancée Olivia welcomed their baby girl on Monday March 28.

The couple shared the announcement on Instagram alongside a sweet picture, holding onto her hand.

"Our little Mia Jessica Packham was born yesterday! She is healthy and doing great. We love her so very much! I will be uploading some photos of her in the near future," read the text on the post.

Luke's brother Josh also shared a similar post on his Instagram Story, congratulating the pair on Mia's arrival.

Prior to the birth, Luke revealed he planned to take things as they come rather than read up on being a parent.

"I'm not a big reader into things and I haven't read any books on fatherhood, or what to expect when expecting — so I'm just going to take it how it comes and deal with things naturally. We're just getting as prepared as we can. Until she's born we won't know if she's a good sleeper, or easy to feed for example," Luke told 9Entertainment.

The couple put their wedding on hold when the coronavirus pandemic hit and pushed their plans back again when they found out Olivia was pregnant.

"I think we're definitely sold on having our wedding on the South Coast [of NSW]. We're definitely thinking towards the end of this year as we can get family members over from the UK," Luke said.

Though Luke and Olivia have only just become parents, they said there is potential for more kids down the track.

"We'd definitely like another kid, but you know I think we'll see how the first one plays out. I'm still young — I'm only 28 so we've got time on our side," Luke said.

Luke found fame when he and twin brother Josh took their search for the one on Love Island Australia. After the series, Luke found love with Olivia and went on to compete on The Block in 2021 in a team with Josh.

Luke and Olivia announced they were expecting late last year a few weeks before The Block auction aired. On auction day, Josh and Luke walked away with $530,000 profit after their Bronte Court house sold for $3.93 million.

The twins plan to put some of the prize money towards Luke's synthetic grass installation business, which Josh has joined.
