We've all got at least one really grotty oven tray that's been pushed to the back of the cupboard and forgotten about.

Maybe this year you forgot about something in the oven and completely ruined the food, and the tray as well.

But instead of just throwing it out and replacing it with a new one, a hack on TikTok has proved there is hope that you can get even the dirtiest tray sparkling again.

The man, who goes by the name hazz_jazz on the video sharing site, posted the "life hack", and it shows just how easy it is to bring your trays back to life.

"LIFE HACK 06: The tray so clean I can see my face in it," he captioned the clip which has been liked over 11,000 times.

The method is really simple: all you need is your grotty trays, soda crystals or baking soda, white vinegar and a scourer.

Detailing the steps in the video, which you can watch above, the first thing he does is cover the inside of the trays with soda crystals (but you can use baking soda instead if you can't find them), then he pours white vinegar over the top.

The vinegar and baking soda react, causing the solution to fizz up.

Next, using the scourer he gives the tray a quick scrub and makes sure to get it on the edges too. Then you just need to leave the solution to work its magic for 30 minutes.

After that's had time to soak, lightly wipe the trays. Next, empty out the solution and give the trays a really good scrub. "Insert elbow grease" the text reads on the clip.

He then repeats the process again on a second tray.

The results are amazing, with both trays looking like new again, and it's such an easy and relatively effortless process.

Another wrote, "Legit looked at mine today thinking how to clean them up."

Several TikTok users admitted they just buy new ones because they don't cost much, but not everyone was impressed with the attitude of just binning them when they're dirty.

"Good on ya for not contributing towards our throw away society. A tray is cheap but this is still reusable," wrote one user.

It's definitely a method to try if your baking trays are looking a bit sad and sorry.
