Aussie mum shares recipe for her 'magic cleaner' that leaves glass sparkling

Cleaning grubby windows can be a challenge and often our best efforts still don't deliver a streak-free result.

But Perth mum Carolina McCauley seems to have found the perfect mix for cleaning glass and you only need a few natural ingredients to do it.

She shared the method and mix for her 'magic glass cleaner' on TikTok, which completely got rid of grubby marks from her windows with ease.

"This DIY cleaner will leave your windows sparkling and streak free," she captioned the video, which has been watched over 50,000 times.

Carolina created her own 'magic cleaner' using a few ingredients that you definitely have on hand at home, which makes it a bargain cleaner to make too.

"In a spray bottle, mix 1 cup of vinegar, add 1 cup of hot water, a few drops of dish soap, your favourite essential oil," read the text in the clip.

She added a couple of drops of her essential oil of choice, then gave the bottle a little shake to mix it all together.

"These windows need some attention," read the text in the clip. The window looking out from the lounge room appears to have some grubby marks and smudges all over it.

To give that a clean, all you need to do is spray the solution on the windows and wipe it down with a cloth. The end result is sparkling, proving the spray really is magic.

Carolina's followers loved the simple but effective home tip, with many thanking her for the video in the comments.

"Love this," wrote one TikToker.

Another added, "Ooh yay!"

"Can you leave out the essential oils?" asked one follower.

Carolina replied, "Absolutely, the essential oil is for fragrance only."
