‘Horrible, ugly’: Dan and Dani erupt over detail in $37k terrace while another space is labelled ‘ridiculous’

Exclusive: Dan and Dani were stepping outside into the teams’ outdoor terrace and pools for a change of scenery.

Walking into Courtney and Sev’s space it was the first of two houses that had the pool out the back rather than in the front. Would it make a major difference?

Before Dan and Dani could reach a conclusion over the pool placement they were struck by a high bar that got in the way of their $37,000 terrace.

“What is that!?” Dani shrieked, before Dan added “That high bar is horrible!”

“It’s a big miss for me, it just looks ugly.”

They questioned Adam and Jolene’s layout decisions noting there was a lot of dead space and that the positioning of their sauna in the middle of their alfresco was a little awkward.

Dani also noted that the lack of any coverage of the pool made her feel rather “exposed” to the neighbours if she had to go swimming in her bathers.

Over in Chantel and Wyatt’s outdoor terrace, they were delighted to see it was much more spacious but wondered if it was “too boring”.

Dani though the bench space was a missed opportunity to make a Bali-style daybed.

In House 3, Dan and Dani butt heads over the inclusion of a walkway in between the terrace and pool areas.

Dani thought it was a great access option while Dan thought it was just “silly” and lead to nowhere.

The walkway was the least of their concerns though, with Dani pointing out a “ridiculous” pizza oven and sink on the apartment-size terrace.

“It just feels like they’re throwing random things in here,” she said of Lisa and Rosco’s outdoor terrace.

Rick and Tayla’s outdoor terrace wasn’t finished but watch the video at the top of this article to see what Dan and Dani though of it.

And see who they’ve voted for their ‘Champs’ and ‘Chumps’ for Week 10.
