Exclusive: Jenny speaks out on being the The Block's first ever female tradie

Dylan and Jenny made history on the 2022 season of The Block, because they're the show's first ever tradie couple.
In an exclusive interview with 9Entertainment, Jenny revealed that it felt "awesome" to potentially be inspiring a generation of girls to "get on the tools" in future.
"I'd love to inspire young women to come and be tradies. It doesn't just have to be men; women can do it too, and we've proved that," she said proudly. You can watch Jenny's interview in the video above.

Dylan is a builder and Jenny works with him as an apprentice tradie, and the couple recently started their own building company called Smooth Sailing Designs.

During her time on the renovation show, Jenny has proved she's got some serious skills. In one moment she used a hammer with both of her hands – a move which Foreman Keith was quick to react to.
"You can actually hammer with both hands!" he said. "I am impressed!"

"You are seeing more and more girls on the tools, which is awesome," Jenny continued.

"Our plumber, his daughter works. There's a sparkie in House 2 that is female. It's becoming more of a norm," Dylan added.

Jenny also spoke about being on The Block and the one thing she wishes she could have done more of during filming. Find out what she said in the video above.
The Blockhead previously said she wants to show Australia and young girls that the building industry can be a great career for a woman.

Foreman Keith was impressed with Jenny's abilities on The Block. Nine
"When I tell people I am doing my apprenticeship they always say you don't build, you don't do anything. But I do – I do everything," she said.
Jenny has worked in childcare, as a dental assistant, and she was a ski instructor in Whistler, before she stepped into the construction game.
