Elyse Knowles marks relationship milestone with Josh Barker in emotional Instagram post

The Block 2017 winner Elyse Knowles has celebrated one year since getting engaged to Elyse Knowles.

Elyse marked the occasion in her Instagram stories by sharing additional photos from the day Josh proposed on a beach. She also posted a video of her reaction to the proposal, which shows her crying and a little lost for words.

"Very lucky... a belly and a ring all at once," she said while wiping away tears and giggling.

At the time of the proposal Elyse was heavily pregnant with son Sunny who was born a little over a month later. That means it won't be long until Elyse and Josh are celebrating another special day for their family when Sunny turns one.

The throwback photos included shots of Elyse and Josh posing on the beach, the cabana set-up Josh arranged for the proposal and a selfie of the happy couple. Previously Elyse had only posted a shot of her hand with a ring on top of Josh's hand while cradling her baby bump to announce the engagement.

While there hasn't been any word about wedding plans, it's safe to say Josh and Elyse have been pretty busy raising Sunny at their home in Byron Bay.

"Sunny brightening up every single day like we couldn't ever have imagined," Elyse previously posted on Instagram. "This is why we are here @joshy.barker to bring up this little man safe happy and healthy."

Elyse has also continued modelling but stepped away from her role as a Myer ambassador at the end of 2021.

Josh and Elyse are considered Block royalty after winning the series in 2017, along with six Room Reveals throughout the season. Comedian Dave Hughes famously purchased the property for $3,000,000, resulting in the couple pocketing a profit of $447,000 plus an extra $100,000 in prize money.
