Room Reveal: Chantel and Wyatt’s Guest Suite
After a “cruisy” week, Chantel and Wyatt felt confident. But after seeing their Guest Suite, one judge declared they’d “never” get a 10.
Chantel and Wyatt described Guest Suite Week as “cruisy”, which is not something you hear on The Block very often! Can their cool, calm demeanour lead them to a win?

The couple were very proud of the high-quality finishes in their space, which continued their very neutral palette from the rest of the house. Little did they know, that would cause a little controversy with one judge in particular!

“This is what we loved about their main bedroom, having that beautiful soft texture,” Shaynna Blaze reacted. “Not just white-on-white, but it’s all different types of neutrals on top of each other, gorgeous texture, and a bit of a wave in there.”

Chantel and Wyatt’s choice to include a king size bed was smart and added an extra touch of luxury, according to the judges.

The judges were also impressed by the Freedom wardrobes, which had ample storage. “That’s twice as many drawers as House 1,” Darren Palmer pointed out.

Shaynna had an issue with the wall sconce placement. Being so far to the side, they would not provide much light to anyone in bed – making it pretty difficult to read a book!

To make matters worse, the only switch for the sconces was far away from the bed. “That’s a fundamental that you have to get right because luxury isn’t just what you see, it’s how you move in the space,” Marty Fox critiqued.

Darren described the bedroom as a clever combination of traditional and contemporary, which worked well with House 2’s facade.

The anytime black-out curtains were also a win. “It feels like you’re in a space that you want to just go to sleep, which is great,” Marty said.
